Oak Town Heros
The American League West is up in the air in my eyes..Yes Texas has a great offense but don't know how their pitching staff will respond this year. The Angels have a great outfield and if Morales stays healthy I think they have a decent shot, but the team I think has the best chance to win the West is the Oakland A's. With there starting pitching being young but very good. I think if their offense stays healthy they have just as good of a chance to win. They are not going to put up many runs as a team, but we know they like to have a good OBP. So if the table can get set for Willingham, Matsui, and Barton. I think this year will be a huge breakout year Barton and a rebound year for Kurt Suzuki. Overall I feel the A's are looking very good in a well balanced division.

Dodgers
As being a huge Dodger fan have had many concerns going into spring training. Watching part of the game today I feel that defensively we look very good. Furcal has been flashing the leather all day and that is very exciting to see. I just hope he can stay healthy. In left field we are going to have a good competition and who ever doesn't start gives us some power off the bench which is a great feeling. Kershaw has been throwing great all spring and Broxton still the huge question. He continues to struggle. He is the X-factor this year in my eyes. If he doesn't compete and get hitters out its going to be a very shaky and long season. Especially in the NL west when you have the Giants great pitching staff and the Padres good staff as well... and we can't forget about the Hungry Rockies..It is going to be another great race this year in the NL west..

Baseball
I don't get it.. As a young boy all i ever dreamed about was being a professional baseball player. It was kind of funny I was reading a journal I had to do in second grade and everyday I wrote about baseball. I wrote about becoming a left handed catcher and owning my own team. It was kind of cool because I know all I ever did was eat sleep baseball and I guess some things never change. My teacher even called my mom one day saying I had a problem because all I ever wrote about or talked about was baseball. Baseball has always been in my blood. There was nothing I ever wanted to do other than play ball.
In America I feel like many children try and grow up to fast instead of still having fun as a child. I just don't see children playing catch with their parents in the streets anymore or playing with their friends for that matter. It kind of makes me sad because Baseball is supposed to be America's pastime but don't see it being played in streets and parks like it used to.
I think because of all the television and video games that has had a big part of the way ball players grow up now a days. I just don't feel like boys now a days have the same hunger on the field as the boys of the past did. The thing that really tickles me is baseball is supposed to be a very fun game and I think so many people forget to remember that. I just wish the kids of our country had the passion for the game the same way I did..

Excited.
The more and more I watch baseball network the more excited I get for this upcoming season. There are many young and talented guys who will be given a shot this year to make an impact on their team. As Freddy Freeman becomes the everyday starter he is going to be faced with many ups and downs but I have a feeling he will prevail. Also guys like Jason Heyward who are in their sophomore season. He was very electrifying last year as a rookie and coming into camp much bigger and stronger now weighing 250 who knows what we can expect.
But the one person I am really excited to follow this year an think he might be coming up later in the year is the Angels outfielder Mike Trout. That guy day in and day out out competes everyone. He is playing at such a fast rate I like the way he plays this game. He respects it and plays it the right way every time he straps on his cleats. He reminds me of a guy like Pete Rose.. always busting his ass to stretch a single into a double or running a ball down in the outfield. He is very exciting.

Spring Injuries?
In any type of sport there are some many different types an injuries that can affect not only the athlete but also the team they are apart of. It sucks to be a Cardinal fan with Adam Wainwright going under the knife. He is such an impact player that is going to affect the results of the Cards season. I think with the Phillies losing their big right handed bat in Jason Werth they had so many high expectations for Dominic Brown. I hope that he heals up fast and well because even though they have a very powerful pitching staff and strong offense I think he needed to fill some big shoes and with him out the Phillies are going to be in trouble for a while. Hopefully can step up!!
I think there is no worse feeling than having a player get hurt but in the pre season that hurts! I guess its better for players to go down in the spring that in the season, but still this is the time you begin to all the pieces in to place and figure out what things you need to improve on as the season gets going.
